NATO's Jazz Messengers
NATO's Jazz Messengers are a group of five professional military musicians that perform a variety of jazz in just about any setting. With a repertoire ranging from the great composers of straight-ahead jazz to contemporary artists like The Yellowjackets, The Rippingtons, and Michael Brecker, this group has something to appeal to everyone.
NATO's Jazz Messengers highlight each player's individual talents and are suited for anything from cocktail music to jazz festivals. U.S. Army Sergeant Chris Manley, the group's saxophonist, directs the group. All of the musicians are fine ensemble players and soloists and can perform as a smaller group or as individual musicians. The Jazz Messengers have proudly represented SHAPE and NATO throughout Bulgaria, Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom. |
